William asks…Does using hairspray on artwork with charcoal cause it to eventually turn yellow?I'm doing an art project using charcoal... i need to spray a fixative on it so that it wont smear... what is the best/cheapest thing to use?? and does hairspray make it turn yellow?admin answers:Better to purchase a can of real Fixative, from an art supply store. It is designed for that purpose, and will allow for some continued work, even after spraying.
