Childhood Diseases and Immunizations

As a child, it probably seemed like you were often getting sick from colds or falls from play. But what about things like mumps and measles? You may not have dealt with that, especially if you had been given all of your shots.These shots we are referring to are immunizations. Children, starting at the newborn stage, are given immunizations to help prevent some of the childhood diseases that were so common in the past.
