Your Questions About Dose Response Curve

Ruth asks…What is the difference between a dose-response curve and a receptor occupancy curve?I know the d-r curve is comparing the dose given to the effect that it has, and r-o curve is comparing the concentration given to the amount of receptors it binds too...Im just wondering about how each one is used - the parameters that can be derived from each, their value in comparing and contrasting drug action and what specific drug examples can be used for each also.
