Your Questions About How To Explanations

Mary asks…Maths question on horizontal asymptotes?Question: Find the horizontal asymptote of the function:
y=3x^2-4x+1/2x^2-1

Answer: y=3/2

Can someone please give me a clear explanation on how to work out this question?
Thank you :) Any help will be greatly appreciated!admin answers:Horizontal asymptote is the value of the y as x approaches infinity hence:
lim(x->± ?) (3x^2-4x+1)/(2x^2-1) => since x has the same degree(power) i.e. 2 in both numerator and the denominator then the
